Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) is used for the seperation particles, fat, oil and grease from water. Micro-bubbles are generated and attached to the surface of such matter . Due to their increased buoyancy, the aggregates of solids and air bubbles float to the water surface where they form a scum layer that is skimmed off.
Pressurized air that is generated from compressor is stored at the air tank. While the water flows down through the gaps between lamella plates, buoying flocs attach at the lamella surfaces. Dense particles sink the botom of the tank.

Detached light aggregates slide up and rise to the water surface where they form a floating scum layer. This layer is scraped with mechanical scraper through to the scum/sludge collection part. Treated water flows over the effluent weir and discharged from the system.
All parts of the equipment are manufactured in carbon steel. They can be manufactured in hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel upon request.
